You gave me a arc for one
but there are many
You gave me strength
with no hands
You put the enemy in reach
but cage me behind bars
You enlarged my heart
but no wings
How am I to endure
when many are in bondage
why must I perceive this
wickedness
You will never forsake me.
You gave your life for me.
You put on sin for me.
You put on shame for me.
You paid for my iniquities.
To you I owe my being.
O Son of God, rise.
O Son of God, awake.
O Son of God, breath.
O Son of God, know.
Thou art immortal.
Thou art everlasting.
Thou art Art.
Precious as stone.
Glory art thou because thou art made:
by Him, for Him, through Him,
art thou made.
In your Image you created he them
They could not believe the Gift once they saw
How truly Holy Holy Holy is the Lord
Ashamed of the dirt they denied and hid the Gift
Hidden and only seen by faith
A baby is given, a Son is born
In your Son the Gift was revealed
To reveal your Holy Spirit in Us
The Sun and stars follow their course because you have laid them out
The sea roars in praise of your Name
The foundation grasp firmly at your counsel
The mountains reach in hopes of touching your feet
The birds are guided in season, they rest in your bosom
The trees bloom at your desire
I am still, waiting, and hoping for you
I am not good enough
I am not wise enough
I am not strong enough
I am better than others
I am more righteous than them
I am rich, I do not need God, says the Accuser
But He, is good enough
He is wise enough
He is strong enough
He is righteous, says the Faithful
In Jesus I put my trust
If you were not God there is no hope
If you were not God remove my life from me
There is no other, there is no one else
I have searched far and wide, high and low
There is no other, there is no one else
If you were not God, cease my life
I do not want to exist if you were not God
I expect nothing less than Jesus Christ
My hope is in you and only you
Your love for me was before the world was
Before I was wonderfully and fearfully made
Before the foundations of the earth laid
Before the sun and the moon set before their courses
Before the winds and rain and the forces
Your love for me was
I surrender my fears for peace.
I surrender my worries for stillness.
I surrender my tribulations for redemption.
I surrender my sins for salvation.
I surrender myself for you.
You were in the beginning.
All things were made by you.
Without you, not a thing that was made, was made.
In vain did I wake, in vain did I eat,
in vain did I work, in vain did I sleep.
But you God, gave me a new song,
a new name, and a new Spirit.
I will praise your name, I will speak your words, I will walk your ways.
I am yours and you are my God.
To you Father, I commit my spirit.
When did my little heart start listening to the world Father?
When did it stop listening to your commands?
Was it from betrayal of a close friend?
Was it from an insult of a stranger?
Or a disappointed look of a parent?
My heart turned stony with every wound.
It shrunk with every scar.
But you God, have healed them.
You have nourished them.
Your words are as tender as a mother's kiss.
Your righteousness as bandages.
Your Spirit heals me.
